Derby County have enjoyed a remarkable recent run that has seen Gary Rowett’s men move up to second in the Championship.

Despite their great run, Rowett has still looked to strengthen his squad this month and the club last night announced the signing of Cameron Jerome from Norwich City.

The powerful striker will bring pace and strength that the current crop arguably don’t have and it could open up the door for Chris Martin to depart Pride Park.

Given that promotion is a real possibility, the former Birmingham manager may want to do some more business to enhance his options for the vital run in.

But, what would be the dream transfer window for the Rams?

We take a look…

Alfie Burns

There aren’t many areas Rowett will want to strengthen now Cameron Jerome has arrived, and I can see Derby focusing on exits.

The club will want Chris Martin out and off the wage bill, whilst other fringe players could also be sacrificed this month.

Sam Preston

Some big earners get off the wage bill; Chris Martin, Jason Shackell and maybe even Darren Bent, which funds a move for Adam Clayton and maybe another attacking player.

Do that, after tying Gary Rowett down and Derby would look a very good bet to get up.

George Dagless

Not losing any players.

Derby have had a good turn around in recent weeks and their squad is finally realising its potential.

There isn't really a need for more players to come in right now and so they just need to keep hold of their best stars.
