January has certainly been a busy month for Paul Lambert as he attempts to shuffle the pack at Wolverhampton Wanderers in an attempt to lift them away from the bottom of the Championship.

When the former Norwich, Aston Villa and Blackburn boss took over from hapless Italian Walter Zenga, Wolves looked like they might be sucked into a relegation battle but an upturn in form has seen Lambert lift the club to 8 points clear of the drop.

Paul Lambert has signed one player so far this January with Haiti international striker Duckens Nazon coming in, but he is expected to start off in the youth sides.

Wolves have been very busy in getting rid of players, though.

Connor Hunte was released, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson sent back, Ola John sent on a sub-loan and Prince Oniangue loaned out to Bastia with more expected to depart shortly.

Here are 2 arrivals they need to secure with the money they have freed up from sales.

Ben Marshall

Lambert is very keen on reunited with his former Blackburn star Ben Marshall.

Marshall's contract with Blackburn runs out at the end of the season so he is available on the cheap.

The versatile 25-year-old can play as a winger, central midfielder or as a full back and this makes him a prize capture, especially on the cheap.

Sam Gallagher

In a double raid on his former club, Lambert should look to poach Sam Gallagher from Owen Coyle's side.

The towering centre forward is on loan from Southampton but the Saints would sanction a permanent sale if a decent offer comes in.

9-goal Gallagher is just the sort of player Wolves need as they search for a top goal scorer.
