Aston Villa are now five games without a win after they drew 1-1 against Stoke City this afternoon.

Dean Smith's side were extremely poor in the first-half and went behind early on after Sam Vokes gave the hosts the lead.

In truth, Villa were extremely poor throughout the opening 45 minutes, however they improved significantly after the break.

And, Albert Adomah got the equaliser with a smart finish following a pull-back from Anwar El Ghazi.

After that, Smith's men were on the front foot and they could've won it late on but they fould Potters keeper Jack Butland in very good form.

The result leaves Villa eight points behind in the race for the play-offs and they have played two games more than some of the sides above them.

Therefore, promotion seems highly unlikely and it's fair to say the supporters are frustrated with how things have gone.
