Sunderland's League One promotion hopes suffered another hugely damaging blow on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 1-0 by Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Luke Garbutt's strike just over ten minutes into the second half was enough to extends the Seasiders excellent recent run, and hand the Black Cats a third straight league defeat.

That result has left Sunderland eight points adrift of second placed Peterborough in the League One table, with just five games left to play this season.

Perhaps not surprisingly therefore, plenty of Sunderland fans were not exactly happy as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, and one man who came in for a considerable amount of scrutiny, was Josh Scowen.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the midfielder in the centre of the park, with Scowen regularly failing to find his target with his passing, something the Black Cats did not need as they went in search of a route into the game, before he was eventually withdrawn as the game entered stoppage time.

That performance was certainly not one that impressed many of the club's fans, and here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about Scowen's latest outing.
