Queens Park Rangers have won two games in a row for the first time this season, after a league victory over newly promoted Wigan Athletic and a 3-1 Football League Cup win over Bristol Rovers.

Steve McClaren, who took over the role of manager of the R’s in May this year, has had somewhat of a torrid time at Loftus Road to date, but will be hoping result will pick up throughout this campaign.

The 57-year-old head coach has only guided his side to three points so far this season, and currently sit in the relegation zone, but is considered a better manager that his predecessor Ian Holloway by many.

Whilst the style of play that both managers casted onto their squads was necessarily exhilarating to watch, sometimes you just have to get the job done.

QPR have been without English top flight football since 2015, and have made some interesting, and debatable, transfers in that time.

We discuss what the worst Queens Park Rangers signing is from the last three years....

Alfie Burns

There’s still a chance he could turn things around, but David Wheeler was a pretty uninspiring addition.

He’s currently out on loan away from QPR, after a limited impact at Loftus Road.

Chris Gallagher

I'd have to say Conor Washington.

He arrived at Loftus Road for a big fee and didn't deliver. Many thought he would go on to be a top player in the Championship but it hasn't worked out.

The fact he has now been moved on says a lot, not good enough.

Christian Fuller

Whilst it was only a loan, Kazenga LuaLua.

Having scored just one goal in his first spell at Loftus Road, the former Brighton and Hove Albion star joined QPR for a second time later the same year.

This time not scoring once, the Zaire born winger went back to the Seagulls, before making the move to Sunderland the following season.
