Nottingham Forest supporters have been reacting to the Reds being held to a 1-1 by struggling Middlesbrough at the City Ground on Tuesday night.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side were looking to get back to winning ways after suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Cardiff City and being held to a 2-2 draw at Millwall in their last two matches, but the Reds were once again punished late on in the game with Middlesbrough’s Paddy McNair scoring a late equaliser from the penalty spot.

When Nottingham Forest secured an impressive 4-0 win at Queens Park Rangers a few weeks ago there was much hope that the Reds could kick on and really establish themselves as genuine automatic promotion contenders, but just two points from a possible nine has dampened expectations heading into the festive period.

The Reds will need to show character to bounce back from the disappointment of their performances in the last three matches, which appeared to have represented a real chance to go on a winning run, but instead now leaves Lamouchi’s side 11 points off second placed West Bromwich Albion before they play on Wednesday.

Forest again against Middlesbrough struggled to score despite getting into a lot of promising positions as they controlled the game for large periods, without ever really looking capable of pulling away from the visitors which inevitably left them vulnerable to a late equaliser.
