Many Birmingham City fans have taken to Facebook to debate whether Connal Trueman should keep his place in goal following his display against Leeds United yesterday at St Andrew's.

The shot-stopper, who is a product of the Blues' youth academy, conceded five goals yesterday as his side slumped to a 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Whites.

Yet to keep a clean-sheet for Birmingham this season, Trueman has only been able to illustrate glimpses of his talent in the Championship over the past few weeks.

Whilst the 23-year-old certainly hasn't been helped by the club's poor defending, the jury is still out on whether he is good enough to play on a regular basis at this particular level of football.

Given that Trueman and Lee Camp have both struggled for consistency during the current campaign, it will be intriguing to see whether Birmingham opt to sign a new keeper during the upcoming transfer window.

After a member of the Birmingham City Fan Zone suggested that Trueman needs to be dropped by head coach Pep Clotet, many Blues fans offered their thoughts on the matter on Facebook.

Here are some of the best responses from the club's supporters...

Roger Lawrence: "Like the kid but he's not good enough."

Jonathan Bradbury: "Agreed, Trueman is too green."

Darren Asher: "He doesn't come off his line."

Emily Burton: "Doesn't help that his defence is absolutely awful, bar Pedersen."

Alan Minnett: "Enough's enough, Camp would not have let as many in as Trueman has, I'm sorry it had to be said."

Luke Spooner: "He's just good.

"We definitely need a brilliant goalkeeper as we can see tonight we can score goals, just need to stop conceding them."

Jason Stocker: "Trueman isn't fantastic but he's not been at fault for any goal yet, the defence is utterly embarrassing."

Raymond Green Snr: "The defence is to blame, not the keeper."

Andrew Taylor: "Not Trueman's fault but I would give Ramos a go."
