Adama Traore’s move from Middlesbrough to Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers has been confirmed, and plenty of Boro fans are devastated.

The 22-year-old’s move was sanctioned after the winger’s release fee was activated by the top-flight new-boys and moves to Molineux for £18million.

Middlesbrough were braced for the exit of the young Spaniard all summer with Wolves having a £12million bid rejected earlier in the summer.

After the move was confirmed, Middlesbrough posted a message from the winger to their supporters via Twitter.

Traore called it a ‘sad day’ leaving the Riverside, but insisted he needed to ‘follow my dream.’

Middlesbrough made the Championship play-off semi-final, and the wide-man scored five goals and registered 11 assists during his 40 appearances.

Everton's Yannick Bolasie has been mooted as a potential replacement for Traore as Pulis looks to move swiftly to replace the void that has now emerged after the sale.

Here is how the Boro fans reacted on Twitter to the transfer and the message from the 22-year-old.
