Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of striker Will Keane on a short-term deal, as they continue to rebuild their squad following their summer exodus.

Keane had been a free agent after the expiry of his contract with Ipswich Town at the end of last season, but has now secured himself a deal at The DW Stadium.

The former Manchester United academy man - who made four appearances while on loan with Wigan in 2013 - has been on trial with The Latics this summer, scoring in a 5-1 friendly win over Bolton Wanderers.

That has been enough to earn the 27-year-old an initial contract through to the 9th January 2021, as the club look to compete in the third-tier this season despite the recent overhaul of their squad.

Following back to back wins over Portsmouth and Doncaster, Wigan have lifted themselves to 11th in the Championship table, and are next in action when they travel to Gresty Road to face Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon, a game in which Keane could make his debut for the club.

Taking to Twitter to react to news of Keane's arrival, plenty of Wigan fans were keen to have their say on their new signing.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say.
