It was a good day for QPR on Saturday as they Middlesbrough 2-1 at The Riverside Stadium.

Things started well for Mark Warburton’s side, as Rob Dickie’s stunning strike and Lee Wallace’s header put them 2-0 up, before Yannick Bolasie pulled one back for the hosts before the break.

However, it then started to look as though the game could turn in Middlesbrough’s favour on the hour mark, when QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng was sent off for bringing down Duncan Watmore outside the area.

But QPR would never the less hang on for the win, something which they in no small part had to thank substitute ‘keeper Joe Lumley for, with the 26-year-old pulling off some outstanding saves to help keep ‘Boro at bay as they went in search of an equaliser.

Perhaps not surprisingly therefore, plenty of QPR fans were keen to pay tribute to Lumley for his contribution to that win, as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game.
