It was a hugely disappointing night for all concerned with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, after a 3-2 defeat away to Burton Albion in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Reds were second best throughout the contest in a game in which Burton dominated, as an own goal from Saidy Janko and a calm finish from Scott Fraser put Burton two goals to the good in the second-half.

A late strike from teenager Arvin Appiah was still not enough for the Reds in the end, who were unable to reach the League Cup quarter-finals for the first time in over 20 years.

Aitor Karanka made ten changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Leeds United at the weekend, with Matty Cash the only player to keep his place in the XI.
