Leeds United continued their good form this week, with Boxing Day’s 2-1 win over Burton Albion consolidating the Whites’ position in the top-six.

Thomas Christiansen’s side fought back from being a goal down at the break through strikes from Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe, with the three points extending the gap above the chasing-pack to four points.

Victory over the Brewers was hard-fought and gritty, and shows just how far Christiansen’s men have come following an abysmal run of form which saw them fall from the playoff spots.

A number of star performers have emerged in recent weeks, with Hernandez stepping up in the absence of the injured Samu Saiz, and Kemar Roofe continuing his fine form in front of goal following summer striking signings failure to settle at the club.

Midfielder Eunan O’Kane, a 2016 signing from Bournemouth, was particularly pleased with the result, and footage of him celebrating Hernandez’s equaliser in front of furious Burton fans was shared to Twitter by fans.

The 27-year-old quoted the clip on his own feed, with fans giving their say on his passionate response…
