Norwich City’s season is going from strength to strength, and they currently rule the Championship roost, sitting top of the table as the international break rolls on.

Daniel Farke’s side have quietly gone about their business and have found themselves winning nine of their last 11 matches - including five consecutive victories.

Their latest win highlighted their strength in depth and their resilience to keep persevering until the final whistle.

The Canaries scored two goals in added time to overturn a 3-2 deficit to defeat a spirited Millwall side and move two points clear at the summit of the division.

Teemu Pukki scored his ninth and tenth goals in all domestic competitions in the win - his second consecutive brace for Norwich this term.

Having been out through injury throughout most of October, the 28-year-old striker has not missed a beat and has again been able to maintain his form.

Pukki is playing himself into the spotlight, and he has already been attracting interest from the continent if reports in Turkish publication Gunes are to be believed.

They are reporting that Galatasaray are interested in the Finland international and could swoop for the Canaries man in January.

And if they are to lose their influential talisman, then the perfect, ready-made replacement for the ten-goal man is waiting for them at Reading.

If - and it is a rather big if - Pukki does decide to up sticks and leave for Turkey, then Daniel Farke should look no further than Yakou Meite.

One thing the Royals’ attacker has on Pukki is age - six years the Finland international’s junior and he certainly has more pace than his counterpart.

Being so young, Meite will be able to learn and will be like a sponge to the information Farke departs on him to make him as prolific as his current striker.

The 22-year-old Reading man has fared better in the injury stakes too, missing just the odd game though a knock, compared to Pukki sitting out the bulk of October.

Meite has six goals this term and can play either on the wing or as a striker - his versatility would certainly be welcome at Carrow Road with Farke hoping Norwich can maintain their grip at the top of the league.

Pukki isn’t the biggest, tallest or quickest striker but he knows where the goal is - and the Reading man trumps the Fin in all three of those departments, its just positioning and awareness that Meite needs to improve on - and he would.

Working under Farke and with Jordan Rhodes at the club, too, there aren’t many better strikers out there to learn from.

Reading’s talisman regularly averages more shots per game and wins a vast amount of aerial duels compared to Pukki.

Both have had similar seasons, but with the Finland star entering the peak of his career, it will soon be downhill from his peak, whereas Meite is yet to reach anywhere near his best and he is already an unstoppable train of power and attacking prowess.

Should the Norwich man leave the club, then Farke would be a fool to pass up the opportunity to snap up the 22-year-old Reading man.
