Norwich City boss Daniel Farke has worked hard this summer to prepare his squad for an assault on the top six, with a number of new faces joining his revolution at Carrow Road.

The former Borussia Dortmund II boss joined the Canaries earlier in the summer, and the board will expect the club to secure at least a top six finish this year, after former boss Alex Neil was given the chop for failing to do so last term.

Farke’s transfer business has continued deep into the summer, and in recent days, a deal for Arsenal youngster Savvas Mourgos was announced.

Mourgos joins the club on a two year deal, and will hope to contribute to Norwich’s push for a place in the top six.

The player spent three years with the Gunners, and will go into the U23 squad at Carrow Road, but Farke will hope the player will have an impact on the first team sooner, rather than later.

The 19-year-old midfielder has an impressive repertoire of skills, including his ability on the ball and his shots from range, and will set himself the goal of reaching the first team before the season is up.

The Greek began his career in his homeland with Panionios, but will continue his footballing education in East Anglia, hoping that his next step in English football will lead to first team action.

Mourgas has a lot of potential, and under Farke, who worked with the youngsters at Dortmund, will hope that his stock grows under the German boss.

Norwich fans will be excited by the prospect of seeing Mourgas in action, but must be patient with the teenage star.

Their patience could be well rewarded however, and the player has the potential to become a first team star at Carrow Road in the near future.

Do you think Mourgas has the potential for a first team call up this season?
