Norwich City kick us off this weekend in the Sky Bet Championship as they take on Swansea City this evening.

The Yellows know that a win will see them stretch the gap to Leeds and Sheffield United in the league, too, so there's plenty at stake here.

Ahead of the game, we spoke to Richard Voisey of City of Yellows as normal to grab his thoughts...

1. Norwich go first this weekend, how much pressure can they apply on Leeds and Sheffield United?

City sit proudly at the top of the Championship table two points ahead of Leeds, four in front of the Blades and having created a whopping nine-point gap against the early season much fancied and star-studded Baggies.

If another three can be achieved after Friday's visit of Swansea, life will be looking extremely good for the Canaries.

To make matters more interesting, City only have Middlesborough away to play amongst the sides in the top six while Leeds have 'six pointers' against Bristol City and Sheffield United plus a tasty Yorkshire tussle with Wednesday.

The Bladesmen have another derby with relegation fighters Rotherham plus Bristol City. Both challengers to City have, however, 'walkovers' in their diaries against poorly Ipswich with Leeds having the honour to say a final goodbye to the Tractor Boys on May 5th.

The current six-game form table also shows the Canaries on top with 15 points, followed by the Blades 14 and the Peacocks sitting in seventh on 10 points.

Points in the bag are always cherished and three at Carrow Road will make another huge statement to the opposition.

2. Norwich have scored at least 3 goals a game since the Preston loss, how impressive has the response been?

Preston was a strange game and thankfully a blip.

Slow to start from City, a late first-half missed penalty which arguably may have changed the game and a relentless attacking second-half barrage in North End's half producing 22 goal scoring attempts, which usually wins football matches.

Fair play to Preston, clinical finishing and solid defending won the day. Runs inevitably come to an end and it's all about the response. The current squad have the mentality to come back within games and following games. Created chances are currently being taken either in counterattacks following loads of opposition pressure or as a result of intensive defence-splitting front play by almost forcing the defenders into submission. Fighting spirit is in abundance at present.

3. Quite a few injured players have returned in recent weeks - is this the strongest the squad has looked all season?

Key players have returned at a great time in the season and I'm pleased to see that good play and dedication to the cause supplied by the less experienced players has been rewarded with the retention of their starting shirt.

The bench at present is the strongest for years and bodes well for the run in. In addition to Klose, Hanley, Vrancic, Leitner and Rhodes being ready to enter the fray, Cantwell and Pinto are available again whilst Louis Thompson is training on grass again.

4. Swansea have been hard to predict this year, does that cause concern for Norwich as you don't know which sort of team will turn up?

Swansea currently sit 16th in the form table with two wins, a draw and three defeats which makes them seven points off the playoffs.

Their recent mixed bag of results does not suggest a late surge up the table. They have actually conceded three fewer goals this season compared to Norwich although goal scoring is left behind by a massive 26 finishes.

A mid-table outfit with little to play and being at home will, on paper, suggest little to worry about other than the dreaded complacency button being pressed in the players' heads.

5. Score prediction

A win by the odd goal will do the job be it 1-0, 2-1 or 3-2 but then again based on recent performances, the least we can expect is three sublime finishes from the boys in yellow and green. You might get the impression I'm feeling quite confident at present!
