Norwich City's poor season last time out means that this summer window could be a crucial one, and according to Alan Nixon, the club are hoping to add Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes to the squad in the coming weeks.

The Owls striker has never really got going since making a big money move to the club from Middlesbrough some 18 months back, and now he appears to be one of  a selection of players Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay is looking to offload as he seeks to trim the wage bill ahead of next year.

Rhodes, who is a full international for Scotland and has a prolific record in the second tier, will no doubt be keen for a fresh start himself, and could well see Norwich as the ideal sort of stomping ground to get back involved and among the goals.

Canaries manager Daniel Farke is clearly going to be a busy man this summer, with Nixon also commenting that he wants to sign both Harry Wilson from Liverpool and Ben Marshall from Wolves, despite Millwall leading that race.

Farke will no doubt be hoping to wrap up any potential deals quickly in the hope of getting some new signings embedded before pre-season kicks off.

Canaries fans, Owls, what do you think to this? Good deal for both clubs? Let us know in the comments!
