Norwich City were a real credit to themselves last night as they pushed Chelsea all the way last night in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge.

After the initial 3rd round tie at Carrow Road ended in a draw, the Yellows headed down to west London looking to cause an upset and really did come close to doing just that.

A late, late goal from Jamal Lewis took things to extra time but it wasn't to be at Chelsea won on penalties in the end.

Plenty of Yellows stars can take pride from their performance, though, and the man between the sticks - Angus Gunn - can certainly be put into that bracket.

Indeed, during the game Chelsea did have a number of chances but Gunn was resolute and equal to nearly all of it as he put in the latest impressive performance during his loan from Manchester City.

After the game, then, he put this message on Twitter with a clear determination behind it to now do well in the league:

The Canaries really did do themselves proud last night, and now they need to carry that into the league and close in on the top six.

The Verdict

There'll be a few bleary eyed Norwich fans this morning but they'll certainly be proud.

Gunn was a big part of why they'll be feeling that, too, and now they need to carry things on in the league.
