Norwich City earned themselves an impressive win at the weekend as they brushed aside promotion chasing Aston Villa.

The Canaries may not get promoted this season from the play-offs but they've shown more often than not this season that they can get big results against good sides.

Certainly, then, they just need to add that layer of consistency to their performances ahead of next season and that is what Daniel Farke and his players will be aiming to do.

They've definitely got the stardust to do so, though, and with Josh Murphy scoring a wonderful strike against Villa the club has shown there's more to them than James Maddison.

Murphy's goal, though, did not win the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Week award on Twitter, as Ruben Neves' strike v Cardiff took the plaudits.

Some, though, weren't so sure the award should have gone to the Portuguese - the aforementioned Maddison included:

The Verdict

Neves' goal was important and a good strike but you can't really argue with the idea that Murphy's was better.

It was the perfect, looping effort and crashed in the net right on the postage stamp.

Certainly, the attacker can feel slightly aggrieved that he didn't take this award this week.
