As quoted by the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich City star Josh Murphy has said that his team are going to be a force to be reckoned with before too long this season.

The Canaries have not enjoyed the best start to the season with them languishing down near the bottom of the table as it appears they are still getting used to Daniel Farke's methods.

For Murphy, though, it appears as though it is only a matter of time before things do start to click at Carrow Road and they begin to get themselves up the league table.

He said:

"There’s no way this team should not be up there this year because we all feel that we are capable of that.

"The fans have got to stick with us.

"I saw that they were excited about the change and they need to buy into it. It’s not going to happen after a couple of weeks, it’s going to take a few months and once it clicks, I think we’ll be a force to be reckoned with."

Certainly, fans will be hoping things start coming together sooner rather than later at the club this season and the next opportunity to get things kick-started comes this weekend against Birmingham City.

The Blues were certainly busy themselves over the summer period with plenty of changes of their own and they seem to have adapted to things that little bit quicker than the men in yellow.

Murphy doesn't seem too fussed just yet, though, and fans will certainly be looking for a man of his ability to lead the team towards some better results.

The Verdict

Norwich haven't started well at all but the fans need to keep with the project as it was always going to take a while for Daniel Farke and his players to start singing off of the same page.

For sure, they have the personnel to do the job this season and fans will be hoping that Murphy is spot on with his appraisal of things at the club right now.
