Norwich sign Swindon Town midfielder Louis Thompson

Norwich City have signed Swindon Town midfielder Louis Thompson in a deal that could rise to £1 million, according to the Daily Mail transfer deadline day blog. 

Louis Thompson is to sign for Norwich City but will return to Swindon Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old midfielder came through the youth ranks at Swindon to make his debut in January 2012 and has gone on to make 44 appearances, scoring three goals.

According to Vital Football, Norwich will complete the signing today and loan him back to the Robins for the rest of the season.

Thompson, his older brother Nathan also plays for Swindon, had attracted interest from Chelsea at one point and has made three appearances for the Wales Under-19 side.
