Norwich City will be looking to make some good signings this summer now after seeing two of their best players leave for big money.

Both James Maddison and Josh Murphy have moved on to Premier League sides and now the Canaries need to reinvest what they can in order to fill the considerable void left behind.

Would Marcus Maddison be an ideal replacement for namesake James, then? We discuss...

Sam Rourke

He'd be a fantastic replacement, but I can't see it happening.

Daniel Farke clearly favours the foreign market, and it would be a real surprise for him to fork out a multi-million-pound fee to lure the Posh talent to Carrow Road.

Marcus Maddison's versatility would make him a useful signing for the Canaries though

Jay Williams

Norwich desperately need a creative midfielder to replace James Maddison's goal and assists and Marcus Maddison could be exactly that.

With 21 assists and 10 goals, the 24-year-old was once again the star man in League One and he is surely getting a Championship move this summer.

Norwich should make this happen and they have the funds to blow their competitors out of the water now after selling Maddison and Josh Murphy.

Louie Chandler

Marcus Maddison would be a very good signing for Norwich, there is no doubt about that. He will bring goals and especially assists having racked up over 20 in the last two seasons.

But as a direct replacement for James, I am not sure. Marcus is at his best on the wing where he can either whip in deadly crosses or cut in and shoot. Crowbarring him into James's more central position would not prove to be a fruitful a move for the Canaries.

Adam Willmott

A Maddison for Maddison replacement would be a decent idea.

James Maddison's talent and ability is hard to replace, but Marcus Maddison has been a stand out performer in League One for many years. With 12 goals in all competitions last season, Marcus Maddison certainly knows how to find the net.
