Norwich have endured a rollercoaster ride since their return to the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.

Alex Neil's side were looking very good at the beginning of October as they sat second only to Huddersfield and ahead of current leaders Newcastle.

But results went downhill from there and they went through a torrid spell of losing 8 games in 10, starting with a home defeat to Preston North End and a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Brighton.

Alex Neil has been put under huge amounts of pressure during their disappointing string of results and January could be a huge factor in him keeping or losing his job.

If the window is used wisely then Norwich could find themselves pushing back towards the play-off places in an attempt to bounce straight back to the top flight.

In this article, FLW writer Tom Rawcliffe discusses a couple of options who Neil should take a look at from Premier League big boys Manchester United and Arsenal...

Josh Harrop (Manchester United)

With the versatile Robbie Brady looking likely to leave for the Premier League, a new utility player could be needed.

21-year-old Josh Harrop fits the description. Harrop is yet to feature for United's first team but he has been a regular for their U23 team who compete in the Premier League 2.

Harrop has played in several positions during his short career including attacking midfield and out on both wings.

Despite a lack of experience, he could add something different to the Norwich side with his creativity and ability to slot into wherever he is needed.

Rob Holding (Arsenal)

Rob Holding joined Arsenal in the summer from Bolton Wanderers.

The deal was very much made with the future in mind and that is evident when you see that the 21-year-old hasn't played in the Premier League since August.

Holding is a natural centre-back so could be a good addition for the defence who have conceded too many goals for Alex Neil's liking.

He can also operate as a left-back which could be a position that needs strengthening with Martin Olsson looking set for Swansea.
