Young defensive pair Akin Famewo and Rocky Bushiri could leave Norwich City either on loan or permanently this summer, with the former potentially of interest to Charlton Athletic who had him on loan in 2020/21.

According to the Pink'Un, the Yellows could opt to move on the defensive pair this summer either on loan or even permanently as the club does not feel that either is quite ready yet to be playing in the Premier League.

The men from Carrow Road are heading back to the top-flight, of course, and that will mean changes to their squad, meaning some players will get shunted down the pecking order.

There's an openness at the club for their younger players to get at least another loan, then, and it'll be interesting to see if this news means Charlton look to bring Famewo back to The Valley.

The Verdict

Famewo had a good season at Charlton and, when fit, showed the sort of quality and attributes to suggest he's going to have a decent career as a centre-half.

He may well not be ready for the Premier League, though, and so a loan exit elsewhere at least could probably benefit him again next year.

Could Charlton be interested in him once more? Time will have to tell.
