According to the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich City star Jacob Murphy has revealed that doing his “homework” earned him the equalising goal against Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Norwich City locked horns with bitter rivals Ipswich Town in the “Old Farm” derby at Carrow Road on Sunday and it proved to be a close encounter.

There was controversy at both ends involving Norwich defender Mitchell Dijks; firstly he appeared to haul David McGoldrick to the ground but no penalty was given and then the Dutchman had a goal chalked off for handball early in the second period.

Jonas Knudsen eventually opened the scoring with a fine header for the visitors but Jacob Murphy’s low strike at Bialkowski’s near post ensured the points were shared.

Although it looked like a slight goalkeeper error, Murphy insists that he did his homework and identified Bialkowski’s weakness before exploiting it with his second half shot.
