Newly promoted Norwich City are looking to sign Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luca Connell this summer.

The highly-rated teenage midfielder is a wanted man this summer, and according to the Pink Un, Norwich are looking to pip the likes of Spurs to this signature.

Connell has been lauded as one of the finest young talents outside the Premier League and is bound to be one of the casualties at the club after such a terrible season both on and off the field for the Trotters.

The 18-year-old, who can play in both defensive midfield or a more advanced role if needed, is regarded as someone who can make a big difference for a host of Premier League clubs, and he has been linked with moves to the likes of Man City and Everton too.

Connell has proved himself to be adept at Championship level despite the club struggling in general this season, with Phil Parkinson giving him his chance in January and Connell proving his worth with some fine performances.

However, Connell will be looking to further his career, and he will no doubt find it hard to turn down moves to the Premier League if the chance arises.

The Verdict

The young midfielder is going to be an excellent player and he could do far worse than move to Norwich.

Daniel Farke has proved himself not averse to giving youngsters a chance and Connell might well see this as a big bonus for his own prospects.
