Leeds United unveiled their new away kit for the 2019/20 season yesterday and Norwich City have issued a cheeky dig in response via their official Twitter account.
The Whites revealed their bold pink and grey kit last night and it appears that Norwich couldnât resist making a joke at the Championshipâs club expense.
The Canaries tweeted: âLoving the pink! Letâs hope it works for you.â
The dig is a throwback to a joke Leeds made on their Twitter account at the beginning of last season.
Norwich painted the away dressing room at Carrow Road pink ahead of the 2018/19 campaign because they believed the colour would lower testosterone levels and give them an advantage.Â
Leeds tweeted a picture of the new decor ahead of their visit to the ground in August last year, noting that they were âloving the new colour schemeâ.
Before tweeting a second after they emphatically beat the Canaries 3-0, this time adding âdidnât work thoughâ.
Norwich would go on to win the Championship and secure their return to the Premier League, while Leeds narrowly missed on promotion after a third-place finish and an unsuccessful play-off run.
It appears the Premier League new boys are determined to have the last laugh, taking a cheeky dig that even uses the same emojis as Leedsâ tweets and is surely designed to remind the Whites who finished on top last season.
Sky Sports reported earlier in the summer that the EFL was working on socials media guidelines for clubs due to some controversial exchanges last season.

The Verdict
The dig made by Norwich on Twitter seems lighthearted enough but Iâm sure it will wind up a fair few Leeds fans, especially as the kit itself hasnât got a great reaction.
This latest exchange certainly will do nothing to dispel the feeling held by parts of the Elland Road faithful that many other clubs are 'obsessed with Leeds'.
As Norwich have shown, little jokes donât usually get forgotten, so I have a feeling we might not have seen the last of this social media rivalry between the two clubs.
