Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City are targeting Stade Rennais Portuguese defender Afonso Figueiredo, according to French journalist Manu Lonjon.

The 24-year-old defender joined Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais from Boavista in the summer, however, he has yet to make a single appearance either in Ligue 1 or the Coupe de la Ligue.

Norwich City are reportedly interested in the Portuguese defender who could potentially join fellow compatriots Nelson Oliviera and Ivo Pinto at Carrow Road.

The arrival of the Portuguese left back could potentially be the replacement for Robbie Brady who has been linked to Premier League side Burnley.

However, at this time, Norwich City's interest in Afonso Figueiredo remains in its earliest stages,  and it is expected that Norwich will move for Figueiredo if a deal is agreed between Norwich and Burnley for Robbie Brady.

Norwich City fans, what do you make of the news? Would you like to see Afonso Figueiredo join your side? Could he be a suitable replacement for Robbie Brady if he was to leave? Do you expect Norwich's interest to result in a move? Do you expect Norwich City to make any deals before the transfer window closes?
