Norwich are still standing on the brink of Premier League promotion after being held to a 2-2 draw by Stoke on Easter Monday.

Daniel Farke's side are six points clear of third-placed Leeds United and could secure their top-flight return when they host Blackburn on Saturday evening.

This means the Canaries can start preparing for life in the Premier League, with promotion a foregone conclusion at this point.

Fulham forward Ryan Babel has become the latest player to be linked with a switch to Carrow Road, according to Turkish outlet Milliyet.

The Dutch international joined struggling Fulham in January, but their relegation means he is unlikely to stay beyond his six-month contract which expires in the summer and could leave on a free transfer.

This makes him an appealing prospect for Norwich, who must be savvy in their transfer business after it emerged that Farke will only be granted a budget of £20million to spend in the summer.

The 32-year-old has four goals and three assists in 13 Premier League appearances since signing for the West Londoners three months ago.

The Verdict

Babel would add some much-needed depth to Norwich's attacking options ahead of their Premier League return.

He has proven he still has the ability to perform at the top level during his Fulham stint and would add some Premier League experience.

He also fits the bill for Farke's side as he could be available on a very cheap deal.
