A battle is expected for 24 year old Dutch international Leroy Fer says Norwich manager Neil Adams.
Leroy Fer was one of the stand-out players in Norwich’s relegation last season, so interest was always expected in the midfielder who previously almost joined Everton. The Dutchman scored in the Netherlands win over Chile in the group stages of the World Cup.
Queens Park Rangers currently hold interest in the 24 year old, but the player’s agent has already played down interest from the newly promoted Premier League club. It is believed that more teams are to come in for Leroy Fer.
Speaking to BBC Radio Norfolk Neil Adams stated “Leroy Fer, after the summer he has had, of course there is going to be interest in him”
“He’s having a much deserved rest now and hopefully we will get him back and he is a Norwich player. We will have to wait and see.”
Leroy Fer might not be the only player leaving Carrow Road. Record signing Ricky Van Wolfswinkel may also be on his way out after a very poor first season in English football. Van Wolfswinkel was left out of the Norwich squad towards the end of the Canaries Premier League campaign. Norwich will do well to recoup some of the money they splashed out to sign the Dutch striker.
