Norwich extended their good run with an impressive 1-0 victory at Middlesbrough last night and managed to set a fantastic club record in the process.

The official Norwich City Twitter account shared a stat this afternoon that revealed this was now the club's best run of consecutive clean sheets in the league ever. Or, that they were 99% sure that's the case!

Since the embarrassing 4-0 defeat at Millwall, the Canaries have improved significantly at the back.

Boss Daniel Farke deserves huge credit for the tactical and personnel tweaks that he's made and it's clear that his hard work on the training ground is paying off.

Previously, Norwich were easy to play through and conceded 11 goals in three games against Aston Villa, Sunderland and that defeat at The Den.

Whilst the recent run does include disappointing 0-0 draws at home to Burton Albion and Bristol City, it's pleasing for fans to see that they now have a strong base to build from.

With the likes of Wes Hoolahan, James Maddison and particularly Nelson Oliveira among a strong looking midfield and attack, it's hard to envisage goalscoring will remain a problem.

The Verdict

Daniel Farke has proven that he's not too stubborn to alter his approach, something that some managers fail to acknowledge.

Since the Millwall drubbing, the Yellows have been resilient and resolute with Angus Gunn still to concede.

The victory at Boro will be a major confidence boost for the side, who get ready to face Reading next.
