Josip Drmic has hit back at Norwich City manager Daniel Farke for claiming that the striker has travelled to Switzerland for a health check.

Drmic joined Norwich at the start of last season, arriving on a three-year deal from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 28-year-old has since endured a tough time at Carrow Road, though, scoring only three goals in 24 games for the Canaries.

Lambert? Hughton? Who was the Norwich City manager when each of these 15 Canaries moments happened?

Drmic made only five starts in the Premier League last season, scoring one goal in the top-flight and making 16 substitute appearances.

He's yet to feature since the club were relegated to the Championship, with his future at Carrow Road looking very uncertain.

Farke has recently come out and said that Drmic has returned to his home country, Switzerland, to undergo a health check on a "minor problem".

But Drmic has now hit back at those comments, posting a video of him working out in the gym, with the caption: "I am not injured - I am just not wanted by the club".

Norwich were held to a late 1-1 draw at home to Coventry City yesterday - the Canaries still sit top of the table.

The Verdict

Drmic's situation at Norwich is really unfortunate - he arrived with big expectations last season, but he failed to deliver the goods.

I think it would be best for both parties to part ways in January. Drmic may not be a bad egg, but having a player and manager have so much tension between them can't be a good thing.

If what he is saying is true, then there is no point in keeping him on the wage bill when other additions could be made.
