Norwich City are continuing to negotiate with Orjan Nyland over an extended stay at Carrow Road, according to The Athletic.
Norwich are preparing for life back in the Premier League after sealing promotion at the first time of asking this season.
The club are still in negotiations with Orjan Nyland, as they look to tie the goalkeeper down to a new deal at Carrow Road.
Nyland joined Norwich on a deal until the end of the season in January, with the former Aston Villa goalkeeper joining on a free transfer.
8 of these 20 players never scored a goal for Norwich City – Can you identify them?
Nyland is yet to make an appearance for the Canaries, though, being an unused substitute on 11 occasions and playing back-up to Tim Krul.
But the 30-year-old is still in negotiations with Norwich, as the club look to tie the Norwegian shot-stopper down to a new contract.
The Athletic claim that both parties are still deciding on whether a new deal would be the best move heading into next season.
I’m not really sure that Nyland would want to sign a new deal to be honest.
His lack of game time has been an issue since he joined, however he probably would have known that he wouldn’t get a lot of it ahead of Tim Krul.
But he’s 30 now, and can he afford to keep playing back-up to Krul as they prepare for life back in the Premier League?
Surely he will want to play regularly and be a first-choice goalkeeper somewhere, with time running out in his career?
