The Canaries will be aiming much higher in Daniel Farke's second season in charge.

It was a disappointing first season under Farke in some respects because they finished in 14th even though they had some of the most talented prospects in the division. Although the style of football was exciting and of a high technical standard.

Norwich could potentially be likely to see James Maddison leave in the summer with Josh Murphy potentially being another. They also need to find a consistent striker after having issues in that position this season, so a number of new signings are needed.

With that said, then, we have drawn up a list of four realistic signings that would strengthen them...

Mount has been linked with multiple Championship clubs, including Norwich, after impressing on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie. He would only be available on loan, but he would be a great replacement for Maddison. Although it wouldn't give them a long-term solution unless they intend to gradually bring through an academy player to fill that role.

The 19-year-old possesses the creative tools and goalscoring threat to fill the technical standard required by Maddison's role in the team. He scored nine goals and provided eight assists for Vitesse in the league last season, so he certainly has the ability to thrive in the Championship which would be the next step in his career.

Hoilett's contract with Cardiff runs out at the end of this season even though he has helped take them up to the Premier League, so Norwich can take advantage by signing him as a free agent.

He would provide the instant quality they need to deal with key players such as Maddison leaving in the short-term. It's likely to be a hard transition due to how much he has contributed to the team this season. However, Hoilett would help make up for his absence in the final third and could also be a short-term solution if Murphy leaves.

McKay is out of favour with Aitor Karanka at Nottingham Forest, so he could be a potential bargain for Norwich to bring in. He has only played four games since the Spaniard became manager with the last being in April, and more signings are likely in the summer.

Murphy might leave the Canaries in the summer, so McKay could be a straight replacement because he plays in the same position while being significantly cheaper than the fee they could receive for the 23-year-old. The Scottish international has a similar skill set, but is more proficient at passing in the final third, so he could be an ideal fit for Farke's system.

Grigg could be the striker they need to add an extra edge to their attacking play. He scored 19 goals in 43 games last season for Wigan, although this was in League One. However, the Latics utilise a possession based system, and Grigg has significant poaching ability, so he could fit into the Canaries system.

Nelson Oliveira was the top scoring striker for the team last season with eight goals, and it's highly likely that Grigg could improve on that with consistent game time. He also wouldn't command a significantly high fee, although Wigan's promotion will have increased it slightly.
