According to a report by The Daily Mail, Norwich City will go head to head with Burnley in the January transfer window in a bid to sign Jordan Jones from Kilmarnock.

Jordan Jones has been very impressive for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League this season and has been attracting interest from south of the border.

The recently called up Northern Ireland international has been scouted by Burnley and Norwich City ahead of a possible January move.

Jones has played nineteen games this season for Kilmarnock, scoring two goals and providing a constant threat with his pace on the wings.

The former Middlesbrough academy product could be set for a return to England after impressing in Scotland, desperate to make a name for himself after being released by Boro for his part in a street fight.

The 23-year-old is now being eyed by Burnley, who are hoping to secure a bargain in the transfer window this winter to aid their push towards the European spots in the top half of the Premier League.

But Norwich could also make a swoop.

Daniel Farke could dabble in the transfer market this January to spearhead a play-off push.

The Verdict

A move for Jordan Jones would be a top piece of business for the Canaries.

With current injuries to attacking midfielders Alex Pritchard, Matt Jarvis and Steven Naismith, they could do with reinforcements in that department.

Jones is young, hungry and has plenty of pace to trouble Championship defences.
