Norwich City targeting talented centre-back to plug gaps at the back

Norwich City are reportedly sizing up a move for talented 23-year-old defender Stefano Denswil, according to Norwich Evening News.

Denswil was touted for big things whilst coming through the youth ranks at Dutch giant Ajax, and several of Europe’s biggest clubs were looking to sign the Dutchman, but Denswil has had a tough time of late, and has found himself plying his trade in Belgium with Club Brugge.

The Canaries however, are keen to bring the Dutchman to England where they will hope that he can add a bit of Premier League quality to what is very much a Championship squad.

His perfect blend of pace, power and excellent technical ability means he is perfectly suited to the Championship, and if Swiss centre back Timm Klose decides to stay at Carrow Road, we could be looking at the best defensive pairing in the Championship.

No negotiations have taken place as of yet though, and he remains very much a Club Brugge player.

Norwich fans…What do you make of the news? Would Denswil be a good signing for your side? How do you rate your side’s promotion chances? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
