Premier League side Norwich City have made a bid for Chesterfield winger Sam Clucas as Wigan Athletic cool their interest, according to the Derbyshire Times.
The 24-year-old scored four goals last year and made two assists, aiding a stunning season for the Spireites after their promotion from League Two, which saw them finish in the play off places.
He’s been linked with a switch to the Championship this summer as Cardiff City, Reading and Leeds United all reportedly line up bids for his signature this summer.
There was shock interest from newly promoted Premier League side Norwich City, who see his versatility as a great asset to the next year, after he replaced Eoin Doyle up front for Chesterfield.
Relegated League One side Wigan have also shown an interest in him, but have cooled their interest in him after differing in their valuation of the player with Chesterfield manager Dean Saunders.
