Norwich City could be braced for a big fight to keep hold of defender Ben Godfrey, with Man United and Arsenal both interested in him.

According to the Mirror, the Canaries man has been impressing the onlooking coaching and scouting staff of a number of clubs, and both the Red Devils and Gunners will reportedly have scouts at the East Anglian derby this weekend, with eyes firmly on Godfrey.

Godfrey has played a key role as Daniel Farke's men have climbed to the top of the Championship table, and his form has clearly not gone unnoticed, with the Premier League giants taking a vested interest in his progress and form.

The 21-year-old has been impressing at the back after being made a regular for the Carrow Road club, with Norwich reportedly valuing the defender at at least the £10m mark.

European giants Lyon and RB Liepzig are also credited with interest in Godfrey, who will no doubt have a big decision to make should as firm bid come his and the club's way in due course.

Godfrey spent last seas0n on loan with Shrewsbury before being given his chance this term, and it is a chance he has seemingly snatched with both hands.

The Verdict

This would be big news for Norwich really, and they would be hoping to land a big fee if they do move him on.

Whether he is Premier League ready is another matter, but he is certainly impressing for Norwich and looks to have a great future.

It's hard to see him saying no if the likes of United or Arsenal do come knocking though.
