Norwich City will be hoping for a better Championship campaign this time around, under new man Daniel Farke.

The new head coach at Carrow Road, took over from caretaker manager Alan Irvine after the conclusion of the 2016/2017 season and will now be looking ahead to next season, in hope that he can bring the glory days back to Norwich.

Farke, left his role as Borussia Dortmund II manager, the reserve team of German club Borussia Dortmund, to take over at Carrow Road, and so far has made four new additions to the Canaries side ahead of the new season, with Marley Watkins, Angus Gunn, Mario Vranic and Christoph Zimmerman all joining the East Anglia outfit.

The new manager will have a clear way he wants his team to play and by bringing in his own players, it was inevitable that some of the current players wouldn't fit into his plans so have been let go.

The most high profile departure from the club so far this summer, is that of striker Kyle Lafferty, who joined Scottish side Hearts on a two-year deal, after he became a free agent following the end of the season.

Farke, has bought in Marley Watkins from Barnsley who is a striker, but to further bolster the attacking ranks at Carrow Road the club should look to take current Liverpool striker Danny Ings on loan next season.

The striker really made his name at Burnley, scoring an impressive 26 goals in all competitions in the 2013/14 campaign, and where he also went on to pick up the Championship player of the year award in the same season.

The following season saw Ings, score 11 goals for Burnley in the Premier League, which caught the eye of Merseyside outfit Liverpool, and Ings made the move to Anfield ahead of the 2015/2016 season.

Since moving to Anfield though, Ings has been plagued with injury, and has struggled for a consistent run in the first team, but now back in pre-season training he will hoping to get some game time.

With Liverpool having the luxury of so many attacking options, it remains unclear whether Ings will get many chances this season at Anfield, so a loan move to Carrow Road could provide Ings with plenty of game time to rebuild his fitness and also to find his form once again.
