Norwich City are beginning to show signs of settling under Daniel Farke in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Canaries starting to climb the table after an impressive September.

Farke’s side are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures across all competitions, including six in the Championship – a run of form that has lifted Norwich to ninth in the table.

The Canaries conceded just one Championship goal in September, with their performance built on a solid defence.

Perhaps one worry Farke will have is Norwich’s lack of goalscoring threat, with his side far too reliant on Nelson Oliveira to score goals.

Here at FLW, one player we believe Norwich should look to sign on-loan during the January transfer window is West Ham United youngster, £1.35m-rated Toni Martinez.

Martinez arrived at West Ham in the summer of 2016 from Valencia, but is yet to make a senior appearance for the Hammers, with Slaven Bilic limiting the forward to under-23 appearances.

The 20-year-old has featured on six occasions in the Premier League 2 so far this season, scoring four goals and adding one assist, impressing for the Hammers against some competitive opposition.

The youngster also has experience of the Football League, having spent time on-loan with Oxford United last season, where he made 17 appearances and scored three goals.

It is impossible to say that Martinez could be the player to fire Norwich to promotion, but Farke’s side have scored just 11 goals this season and are clearly in need of attacking reinforcements in January.

Adding Martinez to compete with Oliveira and Cameron Jerome could prove to be a shrewd piece of business.
