The ex-Arsenal striker is wanted by both Norwich after impressing at Molineux for the majority of last season. However, it is the Canaries who are getting ready to table a fourth bid in an attempt to bolster their attacking options for this year's Premier League season.

But it is not going to be an easy task for the Premier League new-boys to sign the England U21 ace as Wolves are standing firm in their mission to keep their star man.

A recent statement from Wolverhampton Wanderers officials read: "Wolves can confirm that a third bid from from Norwich City for Benik Afobe has been immediately rejected.

"The club's position, outlined on Wednesday, 19th August 2015, remains unchanged".

Wolves will be hoping to mount a promotion push this season and the loss of Afobe will be a huge hit to their hopes.

Because of this, Kenny Jackett is standing firm in his position but it will be tough to stop the youngster becoming tempting by increasing top flight interest.

If a fourth bid is made by the Canaries, then Wolves will have to fight harder to keep the striker.

Wolves are keen to keep Afobe as they strive to reach the Premier League's riches, rather than selling him and risking another season in the Sky Bet Championship.

But it is clear that Afobe has become Alex Neil's priority as Norwich hope to maintain their place in the top-flight after this season finishes.
