Norwich City are expected to confirm tonight that manager Daniel Farke has agreed a new long-term contract with the Championship high-flyers.
The Canaries can go back to the top of the league with a point against Hull City tonight and the club teased fans by revealing an ‘important announcement’ was to take place 15 minutes before kick-off.
And, TEAMtalk have said that the news is expected to be that Farke has agreed a new deal at Carrow Road.
The German has done a superb job since he took over the Norfolk side, with the team really kicking on under him this season.
Despite losing the influential James Maddison in the summer, he has managed to build an exciting side on a relatively small budget.
The report suggest that prompted interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs in his services, so Norwich are moving quickly to ensure his long-term future remains with them.
His current deal was set to expire this summer.
The Yellows are locked in a three-way battle with Leeds and Sheffield United for the two automatic promotion places, with the two Yorkshire sides picking up three points last night.
This is good news for Norwich and well deserved for Farke who really has transformed the club since he took over.
You would understand if some bigger clubs are showing an interest in the manager, so this is a sensible move and rewards his success.
Now, the focus will be on finishing the job this season so Farke will be a Premier League manager in the next campaign.
