Reliable journalist Ed Aarons has revealed on his personal Twitter account that Norwich City have made a bid for Barnsley defender Angus MacDonald.
Aarons reports that the bid is £1.5m and Barnsley could end up losing MacDonald.
After starting his career with Reading, MacDonald was farmed out on numerous loans to the likes of Salisbury City, AFC Wimbledon and Torquay United before joining Salisbury on a permanent deal without making a first team appearance for the Royals.
The 6’3” centre half then played for Torquay between 2014 and 2016 but joined Championship new boys Barnsley last summer.
The 24-year-old has played 21 games in all competitions for the Tykes this season and scored his first goal for the club in their 2-1 loss to Blackpool in the FA Cup last night.
The former England under-19 international has impressed Norwich City with his step up and the Canaries have launched a £1.5m bid for the Barnsley defender.
Norwich fans – would you like MacDonald? What can he offer your defence?
