Norwich City set to make eleventh-hour bid for Bristol City bound playmaker

Bristol City bound Sergi Canos is reportedly stalling from making the move after Norwich City registered their late interest in the Spaniard, according to The Bristol Post.

The Spanish winger spent the season on loan in the Championship for Brentford where he impressed hugely and it appeared that Championship sides would’ve sought to sign Canos on loan again.

However, following a contractual dispute, the 19-year-old winger is set to leave Liverpool this summer with a number of Championship sides reportedly interest in securing Canos’ signature.

It appeared that Bristol City were in the driving seat to sign Canos after a £2.5 million bid was accepted, however it now appears that Canos may make the shock switch to Championship rivals Norwich City.

The Canaries are in the market for a winger after Nathan Redmond’s departure to Southampton, Norwich City was initially linked with Charlton Athletic’s Johann Berg Gudmundsson but instead, Sergi Canos may be the favourable option.

It is almost certain that Sergi Canos will leave Liverpool this summer however it is yet to be seen which Championship side the Spanish winger will end up at.

Norwich fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you like to see Canos join your side? Would he be the natural replacement for Nathan Redmond? Is he the calibre of signing that Norwich should be making? Let us hear your thought and opinion in the comment section below!
