Premier League side Norwich City have registered their interest in Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede, according to Football365.
The 26-year-old looked set to sign for newly promoted Watford this summer, but now Norwich are looking to hijack a deal for his signature to take him to the Premier League, after nearly signing for Hull in January.
Gestede was magical for Blackburn last season partnering Jordan Rhodes up front and managing 22 goals in all competitions, after signing from Cardiff City in January 2014 after an initial loan spell, following the Bluebirds’ promotion.
Norwich are looking to make Premier League quality additions to their side this summer in order to stay up following their triumph in the play off finals against Middlesbrough.
Blackburn may have to part ways with a number of their stars this summer- without being allowed to buy replacements, they’re under the thumb a transfer embargo, inflicted by financial fair play.
