Norwich City have completed the signing of Felix Passlack on loan, the club's official website has confirmed.

Passlack has agreed to join Championship side Norwich on a season-long from Borussia Dortmund.

Daniel Farke - the Norwich manager - has reunited with Passlack after the pair worked together for Borussia Dortmund's second string side.

Passlack made his Borussia Dortmund debut at the age of just 17 and he has since played 14 games for the German heavyweights, including featuring in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim, playing for both their first-team in the German top division and their second string in the Regionalliga Sudwest.

Passlack predominantly plays as a right-back but can also feature higher up the pitch as a winger or on the other flank as a left-back.

The Germany under-21 international will now continue his development in England after agreeing to spend the 2018/19 season on loan at Norwich.

The Canaries have been busy this summer, selling Josh Murphy and James Maddison but bringing in Emi Buendia, Moritz Leitner, Ben Marshall and Teemu Pukki.

The Verdict

Passlack could prove to be a shrewd signing as Farke knows his qualities.

He has always been highly rated by Borussia Dortmund and regarded as a future first-team player and possibly even a senior Germany international.

Norwich could benefit in the short-term from having this promising and exciting young talent at right-back, competing with Ivo Pinto for the starting spot.
