Norwich City forward Danel Sinani is edging closer to finalising his temporary move to Huddersfield Town, as reported by Football Insider.

The report states that the striker is undergoing a medical in Yorkshire ahead of a season-long loan move to The Terriers, as the two clubs have now agreed on a deal.

The versatile attacking player started his career in his native Luxembourg, coming through the ranks at FC Differdange 03 and Racing FC.

In three professional seasons with the latter, the forward netted 15 times in 72 appearances. He then joined Dudelange for a further three years, in a spell that he scored 30 goals in just 64 games - statistics that alerted Norwich City.

The Canaries completed the signing of Sinani in April 2020 and he spent last season with Belgian club Waasland-Beveren, during a season that they were eventually relegated.

In 18 appearances and 10 starts for the Belgian side, Sinani scored three times, providing a further assist.

The verdict

Sinani is expected to arrive at Huddersfield with the sole focus of helping The Terriers to pose more of an attacking threat for the 2021/22 campaign.

Huddersfield scored just 50 goals last season - which was not awful in a low-scoring championship - and is a figure they will want to improve if they want to escape a third successive relegation battle.

For Sinani, it is his first taste of English football, and his ability to adapt to the game at this level will probably determine how much. of a future he has at Carrow Road.

The Luxembourg international has the versatility to operate anywhere across the front line, bringing attacking threat and direct running to The Terriers attacking line-up.
