The Canaries have failed to impress consistently in Daniel Farke's first season in charge.

Norwich have played some excellent football at times with their style of play under Farke requiring a high technical standard.

The issue has been consistency throughout the season as well as the lack of a prolific goalscorer to finish the high volume of chances they create.

James Maddison is likely to leave in the summer with multiple big clubs chasing after him, so they will have to bring someone in to replace him which is a huge ask. They also need a goalscorer if they want to move up the table next season.

Here are four players they should be looking at...

Dack has played a key role in Blackburn's promotion push this season with 16 goals and eight assists. This dual threat means that he could have the tools to properly replace Maddison. He is also only 24-years-old so he has longevity even if he doesn't have the long-term potential to match Maddison.

It will be a tough task to properly replace Maddison's impact on the team, but he is likely to be cheaper than most alternatives. The fact that he is coming from a lower division does count against him, but plenty of players have made the gradual progression up the leagues with success.

Freeman is another alternative to replace Maddison, but has an advantage over Dack because he plays in the Championship.

His numbers are also impressive even if they are more weighted towards his creative contributions with five goals and 11 assists. These have come in a less than impressive QPR side, so he is likely to have more time on the ball with Norwich due to their style.

He is 26-years-old which works against him, but it means he is more likely to have an instant impact especially because he knows this division well, so he could be a worthy investment for the Canaries.

Hernandez would be the ideal striker for this team because he is so prolific and this team could provide him with plenty of chances.

This season, he has seven goals and one assist from just 661 minutes of action with injuries playing a major part in that.

He is yet to sign a new contract with the Tigers, so he could be one of the best free agents on the transfer market for a Championship side in the summer. At 27-years-old, he is just starting to reach his peak so it would be a promising partnership next season.

Another potential striker that they could bring in is Marriott from Peterborough in League One. He lacks the experience of Hernandez, but he certainly doesn't lack the goal threat. He has 26 goals in the league this season which has helped Posh challenge for the play-offs.

He is only 23-years-old as well, so he has a promising future ahead of him, although it may take him a while to adjust to the level of the Championship. However, his prolific nature could work perfectly in Norwich's style as long as he can link up effectively with the other forward players in the final third.
