A disappointing first season back in the Championship for Norwich City will see the East Anglian club compete in the second tier of English football again next year.

Poor performances earned manager, Alex Neil, the chop, and the managerial vacancy at Carrow Road is currently still up for grabs.

In recent days, Leeds United manager, Garry Monk, has been linked with the role.

The Elland Road boss is currently battling for a place in the playoffs, so any decision over his future will not be made until the end of the season.

Whoever takes the helm next season will need to make changes to the Canaries squad.

A number of faces are sure to leave the club, including Northern Ireland striker, Kyle Lafferty.

The player has played a bit part role in the side this year due to the performances of Cameron Jerome, and Portuguese striker, Nelson Oliveira.

With Lafferty on his way however, the new manager will need to add depth and quality to his striking options, and the man to do that may already be in the division.

Cardiff’s Kenneth Zohore has hugely impressed since his move to south Wales from Belgium last year, and the forward boasts a fantastic record in the league this season.

11 goals in only 22 Championship starts in a lower mid table side is an impressive haul, and clubs across the division should surely be eyeing up a move for such a consistent scorer.

The 23 year old is a class finisher, and may provide the perfect boost to Norwich’s promotion aspirations next season.

The Dane has represented his country across a range of youth levels, and a call up to the senior side will be next on the striker’s agenda.

A move to Norwich could help Zohore achieve that ambition.

It is reported that Cardiff have entered into negotiations with the player over a new contract, and Norwich’s lack of management may cost them.

Even if a new deal is agreed, nothing is set in stone in football these days, and a move could still happen.

Zohore would be an excellent addition to Norwich City, or any Championship side at that matter, and a move to Carrow Road would add serious quality to the Canaries squad.
