Norwich City are already planning their summer transfer activity after securing their promotion to the Premier League on the weekend.

The Canaries will travel to face Aston Villa on the final day of the season as they aim to finish the job by topping the Championship table.

Daniel Farke must be targeting a whole batch of new signings to help his side negotiate the challenges of the Premier League, but it appears he could be without one man who has featured regularly for his side this season.

Timm Klose is now the subject of interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, with Rangers already keen on the defender, according to Hurriyet.

The 30-year-old sees his Carrow Road contract expire in the summer which means he will then be free to speak to other clubs.

Klose joined Norwich from Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and has been a mainstay in the Norwich side ever since.

He has made 31 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring four goals in the process.

The report claims that Klose is sure to be on the move, and it now appears that Fenerbahce are the front-runners because their Director of Football, Damien Comolli, has a close bond with Klose’s agent Gaetano Giallanza.

This news means Norwich must strengthen their squad with defensive reinforcements this summer, but they must do so on a tight budget after it emerged that Farke will only be granted a £20million transfer kitty.

The Verdict

It will come as worrying news to Norwich fans that Fenerbahce seem to have an edge in securing Klose's signature.

Farke must be aiming to keep the core of this Canaries' side in tact ahead of next season, and Klose is very much a part of that.

He should strengthen his defence regardless, but Klose has definitely proven that he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League. This should be one of Norwich's priorities this summer.
