A host of high-profile European clubs are weighing up moves for Norwich City star Adam Idah, according to reports from HITC Sport.

The 17-year-old has been in unstoppable form for the Canaries' under-23 side this season, scoring eight goals in 11 games in the Premier League Two campaign this term - attracting a host of clubs across Europe, who are eyeing up the teenager on a pre-contract basis, with 18 months left on his current deal at Carrow Road.

The Irish forward has been on Norwich's books since the summer of 2017, where he signed for the Norfolk club from Irish outfit Corinthians, and was crowned the Under-18 Player of the Year as well as the Academy Player of the Year at the end of last season.

But the Republic of Ireland youngster has failed to make a first-team appearance for Daniel Farke's men, despite the likes of Max Aarons, Jamal Lewis and Todd Cantwell all coming through the youth ranks, and emerging as first-team regulars this term.

Idah caught the eye of many high-profile clubs after scoring eight goals for the Republic of Ireland under-17s in the European Championships in Croatia a couple of years ago, taking his tally up to 15 goals in 24 games on the national stage.

Norwich remain well in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League this season - Farke's men currently sit 2nd in the Sky Bet Championship table, one point off top spot.

The Verdict

It would be really surprising to see Idah leave Norwich.

Knowing how much Farke loves utilising young players, I don't see why Idah hasn't been given a chance in the first-team yet, even if it is in the cup competitions.

He's got a massive future ahead of him, that's for sure.
